I have blocked 21 applications and "ignored all invites" from 40 users and I still get app invites every single day.

Here I thought only I had a dysfunctional love/hate relationship with Facebook. Glad to know I am not alone. Though if I were the type to join, I am sure I could find a FB group to join...
in my opinion, facebook is boring... and hi5 is cooler though they r copying the style of facebook :(
hopefully as people realise how annoying app's are in facebook, they will stop inviting people just to use them.
